GISBORNE TIMES OFFICE. The following are the .readings of the barometer in onr office, taken at 2 a.m. each day:—

GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST’S REPORT.

[pee PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. The barometer has fallen low in the .southern districts under the influence of a westerly low-pressure. Increasing westerly winds have prevailed wit a changeable weather. Present indications are for high westerly winds, veering to southerly, with cold, unsettled and showery weather generally. The barometer will probably rise everywhere shortly.
