RISKS OF TRAVELLING IN FATHERLAND.

WHAT VISITORS MUST NOT DO

(Independent Press Cable). , 1 LONDON, May 18. As a result of the increasing epidemic of spy fever' in Germany, London tourist agencies are warning prospective travellers to repress their curiosity while in that country. Under the lately revised regulations of the German War, Office, it is said, sentries are to challenge only once any person whom they see in the vicinity of arsenals, or fortifications, and if the challenge is unheeded they are to fire.

Tourists are being further cautioned to avoid entering into conversation with strangers on military subjects. This advice is prompted by the fact that a reward of £25 is paid to any German workman employed near fortifications for the details of a conversation with any foreigner who mqy have attempted to smuiorn him to betray military secrets or to impart even any particulars which the authorities might hold were not information of the character to which strangers were entitled.
