■ MEDAL MATCH. A medal match figured on the Poverty Bay Club’s card on Saturday afternoon. A good number competed, the links being somewhat congested at times. C. A. Fenwick (91 —7—84). and P. H, Hamilton (100—16—84) tied for first place, and will play oil for the trophy later. The handicap.tournament commences on Saturday next.

LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. In golfing circles great interest is being taken in the ladies’ tournament and °solne keenly fought games have resulted. In the second round. Mrs Morgan defeated Mrs Ball, Mrs O’Meara defeated Mrs Barlow. The finals will be played off this week. In the B. division Mrs Scott defeated Mrs TraillMiss Murray defeated Mrs Bull. lYlfss Reynolds defeated Mrs Burke. •Miss’Coleman defeated Miss Davis. A bogey match will be played tomorrow. On Saturday MesdameS Henderson and Smith provided afternoon tea.
