DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.
OPENED YESTERDAY. [PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.! I-lAWERA, June 12. The third annual Dominion Dairy Show was opened this afternoon by Mr. G. V. Pearce. M.P., in the unavoidable absence of the Premier. The entries total 1208, as against 1169 last- year.
There is a remarkably fine exhibition of cheese and a good exhibition of butter, and also a splendid display by the Agricultural Department. The prizes in dairy and factory cheese and butter classes were nearly all carried off’ by the Kaponga and Kaupokonui factories. Following wore the Taranaki championships awards and the cheese, Kaponga Dairy Co. (Rowan branch) 95f points, Kaupokonui 95, Ngaere 94. Butter, Bell Block 951, Mangorei and Molls each 95Mar.garama (Pahiatua) won the class tor the best ease of cheese for expert, and Levin that for the best box of export butter.
