MAN DROWNED AT TE ARAROA
The police received information on Saturday that Patrick Wallace, an employee of the AVaiapu County Council was drowned while attempting to cross “a flooded river at Te Araroa. presumably the AVaiapu or a neighbouring creek. TT ~ , Late last night Sergt Hutton had received no further word regarding th» matter. Tlie body was washed down the stream, and a large search party is out, looking tor the body. AV'ith the river in flood, it is possible th*.t tlie body will travel for miles. A brother of deceased resides at Rakaurca.
