IS THIS TRUE ?

DO GIRLS LOVE RUDENESS? - Under the- heading “Girls Love Rudeness,” “Modern -Society” makes the following— wo should say quite needless—suggest ions. Copybook maxims relating to the value of politeness and gentle manners, it appears, do -*ot hold good for the modern male lover. Always be rude (within certain limits). brusque and off-hand, if bent on winning hearts. Meek tongue never won fair lady. Afany young men make the ratal mistake of being too polite and obliging. They are constantly apologising and or do anything for her. They humbly bog asking the girl if they can carry anything for favors, and behave altogether in a very silly, self-depre-ciating way. A girl is so used to that style of wooing that it becomes boring and monotonous, though at- first she likes the sense of being flattered and looked after. But the novelty soon wears off. Then the rude man, who says just what he thinks, who speaks as if he knew he would be obeyed, comes into her life. Instinctively a girl feels that it is the rude man she really likes best. There is something masterful about him. He is so different from other men she has met.
