ACCIDENT AT THE OPERA HOUSE.
THREE MEN FALL FROM SCAFFOLDINC.
AND ONE SUSTAINS BROKEN THIGH.
An accident attended with serious results to a workman named Geo. McIver occurred at the Opera House yesterday afternoon. It appears that MeIver and two other workmen named W. Wil to n and R. Sutherland were engaged in decorating the proeenium and were standing on some scaffolding about ten feet from the stage. DVithout warning the plank that supported them snapped in two and the three men were precipitated on to the edge of the stage.- Melver fell on to the brick work in the front of the stage and the other two workmen fell on top of him, with the result that he had his left thigh broken. Dr. Reeve was summoned and attended to the injured man and later he was removed to the hospital. The other men were uninjured.
