TARUHERU GUN CLUB.

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING. TWELVE BIRD MATCH. The members of the Taruheru Gun Club held a successful shoot at Taruheru on Saturday afternoon, when the trophies presented by Messrs Primrose and Leslie and Mr C. Adair were competed for. Eight competitors took part, and after an interesting day’s sport, Mr A. Pilcher came out as.,winner, securing eleven birds out of the possible twelve, and thus took Messrs Primrose and Leslie’s trophy. The contest for second, prize saw a .close go between R. Pilcher and S. Parsons, both of whom secured eight birds each. In the shoot off, R. Pilcher was successful, and took Mr Adair’s trophy. The following were the scores:— A Pilcher 11 R. Pilcher ... ' 8 S. Parsons A •T. iHiinro 7 .1. Golding 6 W. Sharp : 5 T. Sharp - E. White 1 A sweepstake, a 5-bird match,-was also fired off, and won by A. Pilcher, who secured all his birds. A second sweepstake, also of 5 birds, followed, and this was also annexed by A. Pilcher, who secured four out ol' the five birds. This marksman put up a great performance during the afternoon, securing the phenomenal record of 19 out of 21 birds.
