FRICHTFUL MASSACRES OF VILLAGERS. WOMEN AND CHILDREN TORTURED. (Received Oct. 29, 12.45 a.m.) ATHENS, Oct. 28. Three hundred volunteers from the Aegean Islands have arrived. King George welcomed them amid enthusiasm at Elassona, and they proceeded to Serlije with the allies. The Greeks have occupied the Pass of Pentefaeghadia, on the road to Janina. _ The fugitive Turkish army at Epirus (South-western Albania) chained together and mas-acred 25 young villagers. ' They also tortured .the women and children, and burned and pillaged several villages. Wounded Turkish soldiers lying in hospital stabbed a Greek Red Cross petty officer. *
