The report of the Harbor Board’s Engineer regarding the Ivaiti bridge was fully considered and it was decided to appoint a committee consisting of the Mayor, Crs. Bright and Hepburn to meet representatives of the Harbor Board and Cook County' Council in conference.

'Hie. opinions of Councillors, the Mayor informed a representative of the “Gisborne Times” last evening, were decidedly adverse to the abolition of the Kaiti bridge. At the same time the representatives of the Council were given a- free hand, but the Council instructed them to conserve the interests of the Borough.
