Following the severe heat a cyclone and windstorm, accompanied by heavyrain, hail, and lightning, passed over the "Matong district. Buildings in the town were unroof-* ed and chimneys- were thrown down. The damage t-o crops and property is estimated at £2OOO.

(Received Dec. 26, 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY., Dec. 26. Chickens’ Hour mills at Homebush were gutted by fire and a large quantity of flour and wheat was destroyed and machinery ruined.
The damage is estimated at £16,-* 000. The insurances are in the Manchester office for £10,300.
