THE SIX DAYS’ RACE

(Received Dec. 31, 9.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 31. The six days’ cycle race competitors -covered 626 miles in 40 hours. The seven leading teiams include New Zealand’s two teams. One is one lap and the other two laps behind. ("Received Jan. 1, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY. Jan. 1.
Tiie cyclists have covered 732 miles at the end of 48 hours. Positions are unaltered. Early this morning, owing to the competitors loafing and refusing to increase their speed, the referee threatened to end the race and turned out the track lights. The crowd rushed the oval and hooted this riders and officials, and threatened ja riot. The police cleared the ground, and the light was restored. The teams, however, took the warning add increased the pace.
