HUNTING.
A GOOD RUN AT BUSHMERE. (By ‘'Thomas Bracken.”) ■\ meet of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club took place at Mr. D. Cameron s, on the Bushmere Road, at 11 a.m. yesterday. About 40 members attended. Mr. Tietjen’s maize paddock was first tried without success, but on a second attempt a good, strong hare wms started, and gave the field one of the best runs of the season. Traversing Mr. A. J. Cameron’s property, a stiff double was faced successfully, and another one and a-half miles over several good fences brought the field to the homestead. Here there was a slight check, but the scent was soon picked' up again. Another mile across small paddocks brought the field to a halt at Mr. Tietjen’s garden. Among those out were: The Master (Mr. W. G. Sherratt), Mesdames Gaddum, Starky, Jefferd. and Rutledge, Misses K. Sherrett, Reynolds, Donner, and Evans, .Messrs. D. Cameron, Randall Sherratt, Thornley Sherratt, R. G. Black, R. Black, G'. Black. R. Reynolds, G. Coop. Starky, Mac-hell, Holdswortb, Drummond, O. Evans, B. Bennett, Tietjen, A. Lange, J. H. Jefferd, C. It Sainsbury. F. McKenzie. Rutledge, and J. Clark. Mesdames .Jones, R. Sherratt, and Donner were among those following.
