Mil CON. NEENAN’S FAREWELL. Following is the full text of the illuminated address presented to Air i Oou. Noonan at Wednesday evening’s i gathering at Ormond j “Ormond, J uly 28th, 1915. To Cornelius Noonan, Esquire, Ormond. Dear Mr Noonan. On behalf of the residents of Ormond ami the surrounding district, we, the- undersigned, desire on the occasion of your retirement from business, to express our high appreciation of your character as a business mini, as a neigh!);-, and as a friend. During the .sixteen years that you have liron in business amongst us you have closely associated, yourself with the commercial, pastoral, and agricultural interests of the district, and, while possessing the keenest business acumen, you have acted in your various transactions as a man of honor and integrity, whose word is as good as his bond. In all matters appertaining to the general advancement of the district, you have taken a willing and prominent part-, and it- is lilting to mention here that your long and faithful servi-es as a- member of the local school committee are much appreciated. Your generosity ami hospitality have endeared you to the people of the district, and it is no exaggeration to say that there is scarcely one among us on whom you have not at some time or another conferred a favor. We rejoice to hear L-luit, although you are retiring into private life, it is not your intention to sever your connection with this district. If, as has been reported to us, you intend shortly to visit the Old Land we hope you will have a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and that on your return you will settle here, where you have been so long and favorably known. We trust that in th.o years to come you and your family will enjoy cry blessing that Providence can bestow, and in the meantime with kimnot regards we subscribe oui selves. Yours very sincerely, W.
