—ai», ._ POVERTY BAY CENTRE. ANNUAL .MEETING. The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay centre of the N.Z. A. and C. Union was held last evening at the Royal Hotel. There was a large attendance, and .Mr G. Wildish (president ) was in the chair. !tFLOUT AND liALANCT-SHLET. The annual report and balancesheet- were adopted. The balance-sheet- showed a credit of £.lB -Is. as compared with L'll 9s brought forward from the previous year. The work oi l lie centre has not been of a very arduous nature during the year, being coniiucd to secretarial work. "Annual Conference. -The Centre wn.s not represented at the annual meeting of the union by our representative of the executive. The business was not. of a nature that- required much consideration, and was easily disposed of. "Incorrect Performances, etc.--The Centre has had to deal with one case, wni-eh was an ‘appeal lodged by L. Robinson against L. Wall, a compel iior at the Tokomani Bay sports meeting, tor sending in incorrect performances. The executive could not disqualify Wall on tile evidence which was before them, and so gave him tlie hem-lit of the doubt.. “Affiliated Clubs' Permits and Registered Competitors.- -During the year eleven (11) clubs became affiliated with the union, including two permits at I.os Ijd each. I'he number of competitors registered during the year. 125 at Is, and 552 at 2s fid : total 157 ; showing a loss ol 32 on the previous year. Your executive trust that the good work, done by the N.Z. A. and C.
