Mark’s, Carterton, on Tuesday last,.when lvatheJeen Alice, daughter of Mrs Deller, Carterton, was united in tiie iioly bonds of matrimony to Lionel James, s»on of Mr and _V.rs J. Carmine, Gisborne (reports tbo “News"). The service was fully choral, and Miss Mona Moore, A.T.C.L., L.A.8., played the inspiring Mendelssohn’s wedding march. The bride, who was given away by her ■brother, Mr F. Deller, wore a frock of white crepe do chine trimmed with white Spanish lace and also a veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of lilies and fresius. She was atj tended by Misses D. Deller. M. Deller, 1 Mona Skclley and Audrey Carmine as bridesmaids, and the first three wore frocks of oyster, blue, and pink crepe do chine respectively, with mob caps, the youngest bridesmaid wearing white voile. They each carried posies of violets. The bridegroom was supported by Mr Bert Boot a. as best man, and Messrs Howard Jackson, and 11. Deller as groomsmen. Mrs Deller was gowned in black crepe do chine, with a black and white hat. Mrs Carmine, mother of the -bridegroom, wore grey crepe do chine and a black bat with pink roses. Mrs Porter, aunt of the bridegroom, was dressed in saxe blue with a pink and black hat, and Miss Deller wore z smoke blue frock. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a dressing case, and to the bridesmaids Southern Cross brooches with stones to.match their frocks. The bride’s present to tho bridegroom was a pair of .silver mounted, bra die-. After the ceremony Mrs Deller entertained some of the relations and oldest friends of tlie families at afternoon tea, where the usual toasts were honored.’ Later the happy couple left, for their honeymoon Per motor car.
