SATURDAY’S SALES OF TOWN SECTIONS. OFFERS FAIL TO REACH RESERVES. There was a fair attendance .at the jand sales conducted by Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., at Miller’s Auction Mart on Saturday morning, but m> business was doing. Air G. R. Wyllio was too auctioneer, and first offered a sub-division of Mrs W. J. Riimcii’s property at the. eornei' of Childers Road and (Jobden Sti-oet. Section 8, containing 19.43 perches, next to the Turanganui Rowling Green, was first offered. Bidding ran to £320, at which figure if was passed in. Sections 3. 1,5, 6 and 7 were all passed in at £2OO each, all comprising 19.43 perches. Section 1, comprising 27.1 C perches, at the corner of Childers Road and (Jobden Street, and section 2, consisting of 16.53 perches, were next offered together. The price ran to £6OO, but the auctioneer announced that the figure was too low, and that the firm would treat privately for the property. Messrs Barker Bros. 5 property at the corner of Graham and deLautour Road was then submitted to auction. | Section 1, a quarter acre, was first ■offered, but was passed in.
