BOGEY MATCH. The weather was somewhat cold and cheerless on Saturday afternoon, and a stiff nor’-esterly wind had to be contended against. • Probably these factors accounted for Colonel Bogey having matters all his own wav on the •Gisbone Golf Club’s links. - The local men all appeared to have a regular day off, and no one succeeded in returning a better card than 4 down, consequently no one had the courage to put in a score. There was the qsual large tit-tend-ance at the Club house, and Mesdames J. H. Bull and R. Cole kindly provided afternoon-tea. Tho committee have decided that two medal rounds will luyve to bo played to qualify for the' championship this year. -Hitherto one round of stroke play has served as the qualifying round. The change is in the right direction, as two rounds will provide a fairer test. The qualifying rounds will be played next, Saturday and the following Saturday.
