OUR READERS’ OPINIONS THE HARBOR APPOINTMENT
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —“F.H.” seems very well informed on the above. lam pleased to recognise an old friend, or rather friend of a friend. 1 would inform ‘VF.H.’’ however, that not tno Harbor Board alone needs reorganising. The whole general public .requires the same treatment, and until that be done there .shall never be .sufficient strong men to fill places of responsibility and public trust to enable good work to be done in our district. The men who advocated ''importing an outsider” are not men of the •■timeserving” type; arc not men who would substitute a few votes ior a conscience. In my experience where there is a reorganisation, there is always wisdom in introducing fresh material. Let •\F.JI.” put his pen-worship to hotter use. —I am, etc., REFORMER.
