A treasure, trove inquest in ancient form was opened by the coroner at Rotlierliithto decide the ownership of forty half-sovereigns, six sovereigns and some gold trinkets found in excavations on a property u JBermondsey.

The jury found it was genuine treasure trove, and the Coroner ordered it should go to the Treasury, explaining that the Sca.'.e Was always liberul to finders. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
