ALLEGED ATTEMPT BY OIL INTERESTS TO CREATE WAR.

Charges that the United States oil interests are attempting to create war beween the United States and Mexico were made in both Houses ot Congress to-day, when the landing of naval forces at Nicaragua was discussed.
“Let the President go slow.” shouted Senator Heflin (Democrat), who charged American oil interests with ‘'attempting to swipe t-lie United States into war.”
Senator Shipstead (Farmer-Labor.' declared “I would like to know where we are going and the reason why.” Representative Huddleston (Democrat) described as “false and malicious’’ what lie claimed to be an attempt by the State Department to give the impression (jljnt Mexico fostered Bolshevism, which was sweeping over Nicaragua. After asserting that the United States was deliberately and consciously drifting into war with Mexico, Tie said there were interests in the United States who had for years been trying to seize the mining and oil resources of that country.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
