— SEVEN BURNED TO DEATH

LONDON, Jan. 12. A disastrous fire occurred in a small house in Birmingham occupied by Charles Pedley, his wife, eight children and a girl, D'ora Barker. The outbreak resulted in the deaths or Miss Barker. Mrs Pedley, and two children, l ive others of the Pedleys -were Injured, four critically. The fire broke out in a stairway imprisoning the occupants. -Neighbors held out blankets below, shouting to them to jump, but the victims, bewildered bv the smoke, were unable t 0 res P° nd - Later. The death roll is now reported as seven.—A.N.Z.O.A.
