A coroner’s jury at Montreal found that Ameen Laurand, owner of the Laurier Palace Cinema, with the assistant manager, Arie, and the head usher, Bazzy, were criminally responsible for the dentlis of 78 children in the panic following the lire in tho cinema on Sunday. Accused will be charged to-morrow. Children under sixteen were admitted to the cinema unattended by adults, contrary to the provincial law. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
