THERMOMETER REACHES 111 DEGREES IN N.S.W. SYDNEY, Jan. 14. The heat wave in Victoria and South Australia has spread to New South Wales, where many high temperatures have been reported, the maximum being 111 degrees at Wilcannia.—U.P.A. ANOTHER DEATH LX MELBOURNE. WELCOME COOL CHANGE. (Received Jan. 14, 9.50 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 14. The city is again in the throes of a heat wave. To-day was the sixth day in succession of excessive temperatures. The thermometer was 107 degrees. A cool change arrived in the afternoon.

Another death attributed to the heat occurred at the Old People's Home. —U.P.A.
