IMMENSE DAMAGE IN RUSSIA HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. EIGHTY FROZEN BODIES FOUND IN ONE CANYON. (United Press Assn.'—Copyright.) RIGA, Jan. Ib. A violent blizzard, which started in mid-December and has since raged day and night, continues in Middle Russia and Siberia, causing immense damage. Communications have been interrupted. ° Government despatches from Samara state that the loss of life must be heavy. Relief parties endeavoring to restore communication discovered 80 frozen bodies in a single canton near Samara. Many areas as far south as the Urals are appealing for provisions and fuel, but snowdrifts block Railway transport.—Times.
