The pennant committee of the Victoria Cricket Association refused Ponsford and Ryder permission to play in pennant club matches wmie the' Victoria team was absent in New South Wales and Queeus-and. MELBOURNE TEAM FOR N.Z. ARMSTRONG, HANSFORD AND HENDRY INCLUDED. MELBOURNE, Jan. 19. The Board of Control has granted permission to the Melbourne Cricket Club’s team to tour New Zealand The team, which leaves at the end of the month, has not yet been selected but will include Warwick Armstrong, Hansford and Hendry U.P.A.
