CROQUET
N.Z. ASSOCIATION PALMERSTON N., Jan 24. The annual meeting of the N.Z. Croquet Association was held tonight. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr Murray (Palmerston North); vice-president. Mr A. G. F. Ross (.Christchurch); secretary and treasurer, Mr C. A. Ferguson (Palmerston North); official handicappers, Mi's Ceasing (Auckland), Mr J. Murray (.South Auckland), Mrs Watkins (Hawkes Bay), Mr R. Caughley (Wellington), Mrs Baxter (Manawatu) ; Mr G. F. Ross (Canterbury). Mi's Shallcross (West Coast)'. Mrs Waters (Nelson), hits Morrison (Taranaki), Mrs Manhive (Otago), Mr A. S. IV. Aicken (Southland) : executive, Messrs Murray, Ferguson and Ross. It was decided to hold the 1928 Dominion tourney in Palmerston North, while the application of the Wanganui Association for the North Island championship was approved. The application of ten clubs in South Taranaki to form a separate association, with headquarters at Hawera, was granted.—P.A.
