JACKIE COOGAN IX “OLD . CLOTHES.” Tim Kelly and old Max Ginsberg are still squabbling over 'lie proofs, just as they did recently in -‘The Rag Man.” The new Mctro-Gokiwy »- Mayer production, "Old Clothes,” is the story of their further adventures in New York, aiul begins when they have pust lost the fortune Tun won. How they make another, and what love does to them provides all tile fun in the now film. The cast is almost identical to “The Rag Man.” in the principal roles, Jackie Coogan anti Max Davidson are Tim Kelly and Max Ginsberg respectively, and Dynamite again appears. The fresh players are Joan Crawford, beautiful new screen find, Alan Forrest and James Mason. Eddie Cline directed. “Ula Clothes will be screened-at to-day’s matinee at the l’alac-e. Picking up the action from the final scene ot “The Rag Man,” “Old Clothes” quickly proves that riches have wings, 'flic lortune that Kelly won, Ginsberg loses in worthless copper stock. Then tliev add to life’s adventure by adopting a beautiful young stranger to New York. Tim thinks she should have a rich, handsome beau, and plays Cupid with such enthusiasm that not only is Mary Riley married off satisfactorily, but Ginsberg also finds himself in the toils ot lo'eHowever, as the much-maligned copper stock begins .again to climb above par, the clouds clear, and all are happy. There are countless moments of* thrill and humor interspersed throughout the picture. Jt is certainly something unique in the history of motion pictures that one production should be followed by another so akin as is the case here.
