A to M v. N to Z. The above match was played out on Saturday last. The latter portion of the alphabet resumed their innings, but did not add many to their previous total, the last wicket falling for 82. The A to M then resumed the batting, but did not obtain so many runs as in their first innings, with the exception of J. Fowler, who played substitute for Beard and Fuller. No stand was made. The former made 22, by some good play, hitting nicely to the off, and putting a few very short pitched balls neatly away to leg. A 4, two 3s, and four 2s were among his principal hits. Fuller made a very good ondrive for 5 off Neilson, and a 3 to square leg before a somewhat ■asy ball from Sweet disposed of him. At the fall of the last wicket it was found that the score was oidy 59 ; this giving the N (o Za 39 to get to win. Ollivier and Wood, as in the previous innings, commenced, and looked is if they would accomplish the task without the loss of wicket, but when 37 had been put together Ullivier was bowled off his pads by

Fuller: he made 16, by two 3s, two 2s, and singles. He might have been run out once, but the ball was thrown in badly, and he was let off. Sweet then went in, and, with Wood, soon made the two runs required. Wood made 19. in his usual careful style. He gave a difficult chance to longstop, but was fortunate ; four 2s and singles made up his score. The ground was very dead, and made it difficult to score fast. During the second innings of the A to Ms Sweet bowled 12 overs for 3 runs, 1 wide, taking 4 wickets. The following is the score of thematch : A TO M Ist Innings. 2nd Innings. G. H.
