MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, December C. (Before G. L. Hellish, Esq, R.M.) Drunk and Disorderly. — The following inebriates were dealt with: —Mary Wc!stead, dismissed; Isaac McKay, fined ss; Jane Kirk, 5s and cabhire; S. 8. Griffin, 5s ; Henry Allen, remanded to Lyttelton until 15th inst for medical treatment. Lunacy from Drink. —Philip Carey, who had been remanded for a week, was brought up and discharged. Assault.— William Carr, charged with violently assaulting J. Spink the previous night iii front of Barrett’s Hotel, was fined 40s.
