PORT OF LYTTELTON. ABRIVED. May 25—Maori, s.s, 118 tons, Malcolm, from West Coast ports. Passengers—Miss A. Rogers, Mrs Kussel and son, Mr J. M. Williams ; one for Dunedin. May 26—Beautiful Star, ss, 140 tons, Pietersen, from Dunedin, via Timaru. May 25-Taupo, s.s, 461 tons, Worsp, from Port Chalmers. Passengers—Saloon : Mrs Power, Mr and Mrs Walsh, Porteous ; 12 in steerage, 34 for North. CLEARED. May 25 s.s, 402 tons, Worsp, for Northern ports. May 25 -Maori, s.s, I'B tons, Malcolm, for Dunedin The fine s.s. Taupo arrived in harbour at seven a.m. this morning from South. She leaves for North this afternoon. The Beautiful Star arrived at 4.30 a.m. to-day from South. The steamship Australia will arrive in harbour early to-morrow morning. She is to leave Wellington this afternoon. She brings the 'Frisco mail. SHIP SIGHTED. The Taupo reports on her passage up sighting a full-rigged ship off the long look out, but being too far off to make her out. It is thought to be the Pomona from Dunedin, that vessel having left there on Tuesday. The Desdemona, from London, is also due, being out about ninety-one days.
