New Bath at Gloucester Street SCHOOL. —The new bath at the East Christchurch Main school was emptied last night by the Railway fire-engine, worked by the Christchurch Fire Brigade, under the supervision of Mr Superintendent Harris.. There were 82,000 gallons of water in the bath, and the engine, with four deliveries, pumped at the rate of 800 gallons per minute. Mr Mountfort, architect, and Mr Ness, clerk of che works, were present, and after the bath has been thoroughly examined and found satisfactory, it will be taken possession of by the school committee.
