Mount Magdala Asylum.
OPENING CEREMONY. Christchurch, last night. The Mount Magdala Asylum for fallen women was consecrated yesterday afternoon by Bishop Grimes, when there were over 2000 people present. The collection realised about £2OO in cash besides promises. There are now forty penitents .in the Asylum.
