The Hospital Trustees.

The Hosnital Trustees met last night. Present: Messrs Coleman (in the chair), Tucker. Watson, Nolan, Dunlop, A. Brown, E. K. Brown, Lucas, and Stubbs. The Treasurer reported there were 7 patients remaining from last month, 3 admitted during the month, 6 discharged, and 4 remaining. Although the finances were in a flourishing condition, he recommended that greater care should be taken in passing accounts, Accounts totalling £B5 13s 5d were passed for payment. Some discussion arose on an account for £7 15s 2d, for drugs supplied by G. Foster, being presented, Messrs Lucas and Tucker remarking that no goods should be got from a chemist while they had n dispensary of their own. Dr Pollen said the account was for medicine supplied to outside patients. Capt. Tucker proposed that no medicine be obtained from a chemist unless urgently required, and not in slock at dispensary, and in no case for persons not hospital patients. —Carried. In eonneotion with an account of £2O for surgical instruments, it was resolved that before ordering surgical appliances the Surgeon submit a list of articles required, and their probable gross cost to the Hospital Committee. Messrs Lucas and Watson were appointed a Visitihg Committee for the ensuing month,
