THE AFGHAN REVOLT.
THE REBEL LEADER DEFEATED. THE REVOLT A FAILURE. THE AMEER CONFERRING WITH A BRITISH OFFICIAL. Calcutta, Sept 10. News has been received that the rebel leader Ishak Khan has been totally defeated, and the revolt has collapsed. The Ameer Abdurrah Khan having requested the Viceroy, Earl Dufferin, to send an official to confer with him regarding the state of affairs in Afghanistan, Mr H. M. Durand, C. 5.1., Foreign Secretary to the Government of India, will proceed forthwith to Cabul.
