The Rotomahana will not arrive from South till Monday. The 'Frisco mail steamer is expected to arrive at Auckland to-day. Messrs Weaver and T. Adams are passengers. The Wairarapa arrived yesterday afternoon from Auckland, and left again for South last night. Passengers: Inwards— Mrs Sykes, Messrs Sage, Bloomfield, Best, Maroroft, Hewett, Johnston, Mcßride, Seesinger, and Raine; outwards—Mrs Brooking, Messrs Bullen, Beere, O'Brien, Bourke, Ellison, Crawford, Scott, Buckley, Laraaoh, and Whitmore. An interesting freak of nature may be observed at the Central Butchery, in the shape of a healthy-lqoking pig that had been born without ears. This ought to have been very convenient whenever piggie was hqnted by doge. A five.legged foal was born on the Whataupoko the other day. The local Press Association agent should not fail to have these facts telegraphed away, so that Gisborne may be on a level with some of those places which send us similar information.
