Borough Election.
There was not a great deal of interest taken iu the Borough election last Saturday, that day being always an exceptionally busy one» but on the unique result being made known, the ratepayers seemed to become electrified. The result was:— William Lavers File .. 130 John Ponsford .. 130 Allen Taxlor.. .. 130 Informal .. .. .. 4 Mr Piease, the Returning Officer, gave his casting vote in favor of Mr Taylor, who was then declared elected. Mr Ponsford was laid up with a painful face affliction.
