Local Exhibition.
The Industrial and Art Exhibition was open again last night, that being the conclusion There was a much better attendance, but not the number that might have been expected. The Garrison Band greatly enlivened ;he proceedings. The following awards have been made Class A—lst class : Miss Beere, Master J. Me Ara, Jennings Harper, Phyllis White, Lillie Lowe, Nellie Morris, Ida Norris, Mrs E. Cox, Miss Alice Biker. Honorable men tion : C. Rosie, Susan Skillicorn, Neil McMillan. B —lst class : Miss Bachgood, Miss Fanny Baker, Miss Alice Baker. Honorable mention, Miss Gillice. C—lst class :Mr J. Stewart, Mr J. Hall, Mr R. Moore. Honorable mention: Mr J. Finl y. D—let cl ass : Mr Julius Hansen. E—lst class : Mr E. Parnell. F—lst c'ass : Mrs Armstrong, Miss J. Harries, Mrs John O’Meara, Miss Etta Baker, Mrs Cavanagh, Mrs J. Hall, Miss Doran, Miss May Beat y, Mrs Stoddart, Mrs H. Warren. Honorable mention: Mrs John O’Meara and Mrs Bach. G—lst class .W. F. Crawford, D. M. Orr, and J. Craig. K—lst class: Knights and Ferguson. L—lst class : Messrs J. Hall, J. Warren, J. Townley. J. Pierce, J. Wallace, and P. O’Meara. M—lst class : Mrs Hardy, Mr J. Jeune, Mr 0. J. Morell. Among the exhibits unintentionally omitted in our detailed report were those of Messrs Orr, Hansen, Stewart, and Parnell. Mr Orr showed some fine samples of cheese from the Ormond Factory, Mr Hansen elicited general admiration for his show of birds, Mr Stewart had a pretty and cleverly executed half model of a ship on view, and Mr E. Parnell gave proof of skill and perseverance in a bass violincello which he had himself constructed. A promenade concert was given last night, a sale of fruit and vegetables being subsequently held, Mr Nicol! acting in the capacity of auctioneer. The following is the programme of the Concert: —Glee, “ See our oars with feathered spray,” Misses Porter and Parnell, Mrs Bourke, Messrs Goldsmith, Greenwood, and East; Song, Mr Goldsmith, “ Four Jolly Smiths Song, Mrs Weetman,
