THE COPPER SYNDICATE.
A CRISIS IMMINENT. ABSORPTION OF TWELVE MILLION POUNDS. London, Jan. 3. The Standard states that the Copper Syndicate control 150.000 tons, which have absorbed £12,000,000 of capital. The interest on this amounts to something like halt a million per annum, and the stocks are still growing, as the.imports from Chili, America, and Australia are increasing.
The Standard is of opinion that a crisis is imminent.
