The steamer Triumph, which was wrecked in Hauraki Gulf, and subsequently purchased and repaired by Mr Fraser, of Auckland, has now finally come to grief. On October 22 she came into collision with the Spanish steamer Rivas at the mouth ot the Tyne and sank. The Rivas was run ashore to prevent sinking.
