The County Council met yesterday afternoon. Several unimportant letters were received. TENDERS.

Mangatu Boad. —P. McLoughlin (accepted), £72 10s 6d.

Pakarae-Puatai.—A. J. O’Neil (accepted), £241 15s; B. Knox, £255; Corcoran and Co., £243.

Wniapu Boad.—G. Bell (accepted), section 1, £l9 9s; section 2, £99 13s. G. Pitcher, £24 14s and £137 19s 6d ; Bronlow and Mclntosh, £32 and £129; Corcoran and Co., £35 and £131; M. Boland, £l5 and £l4l ss.

Cr Murphy’s motion that all tallymen should be employed by the Council only, was lost after some discussion.
