It may not be generally known to the majority of our numerous sporting readers that Mr J. Kennedy’s Recluse, winner of the Hawke's Bay Cup of 400 sovs., and which was run on Monday last, is sired by Mr Chas. Abbott’s well-known thoroughbred Denial O'Rorke. It is stated that Mr Abbott hat been asked to let Dan stand the coming season in Christchurch where there ie nc doubt but that he will have a full harem attee the recent victories of his brilliant daughter.
