AN INTERVIEW WITH MR J, R. SCOTT “THE TEAM CLEARED EXPENSES.
THREE MONTHS’ COLONIAL PLAY. London, March 29. An interview has besn held here with Mr J. R. Scott, the manager of the Maori football team. In the courge of the remarks Mr Scott spoke highly of the men he had under his control. ... Their record, he said, of 49 wins out of 73 matches, was unequalled by any other team. It was much more than half, irrespective of drawn games. The tour had paid slightly more than expenses. The team, he added, proposed to play two months in Australia and one month in New Zealand before disbanding.
