‘ At the annual meeting of the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club, the secretary was instructed to send the following circular to clubs belonging to the Athletic Association : •‘That it is the opinion of the club that the time has come to establish a regular championship meeting, to be held for the first time next spring atDunedin or Christchurch, ” A committee was formed to consider the question of allowing members of other clubs to compete at the club’s meetings free.
