Major Egerton, in giving evidence before ' the Jockey Club, asserted that he had suggested to Mr Weatherby the propriety of making enquiry into Fullerton's running. Pre. tender, Rangipai, and Dauphine, 7.0, Tit and Eileen, 6.0. Handicap Hurdle Race, of 80 sovs., 2 miles —Chemist 12.4, Orient 11.10. Premium 11.0, Waterfall 10 7, Liberty 10.6, Orlando 10.4, Glencoe 9.12, Jubilee 0.10, " Buff and Black " tips Defamer to win the Napier Steeplechase, with Orlando and Chemist to fill the places.

Trotting Handicap : Bluegum 1, Wapiti 2, Sprightly 8 ; dividend £l2 18s. Second Handicap Hurdles : Reliance 1, Dangerous 2, Stella 3 ; dividend £3 13s. After the Napier races Oddfellow’s owner and trainer were jubilant over their horse's victory, and celebrated the event by treating their friends, but afterwards a dispute arose, and a squabble ensued, {the result of which i was they took early train this morning, and ’ in otiihpady of their horse, left for home and : scratched Oddfellow for the Napier Park i tlleetlng. ;
