Whataupoko Road Board.
The adjourned meeting of the above Board Was held on Thursday afternoon, when all the members were present. . With reference to O’Neill's coetraat the Engineer said that the quantity of the gravel had been delivered. The quality was equal jo the sample ; he estimated that 40 yards of gravel, carefully spread co the bad places, jarnuld make the read good. The Chairman suggested that £2O bo deducted from the final payment now due to Mr O’Neill st and for liquidated damages, A motion, proposed by Mr Joyce and, seconded by Mr O'Meara, that £l5 be deducted, was carried, It was decided to allow Mr Knox to discontinue work upon his contract for Fox and Bussell Streets, on a day to be fixed by the Engineer, upon condition that he resumes work when directed by the Engineer, Time find penalties not to Count against Mr Knox While the contract is suspended.
