They are Coming.
Tbs European Mail of May 24, says !—Carrying out a suggestion mads by ths Marquis of Lorna a short time back, Mr J. R. Crsoknell has arranged to make a practical stperlment in colonisation in the North Island of Naw Zealand, and to that end a party of people—from Lanoashire—are to be sent off on May 80, The party is a suitable one in every way, Consisting of several manied. couples and families, and' all possessed of that esMutiat requisite for s mission of the kimj—a practioal agricultural experience. Mr' Cracknell deserves a great deal of credit tor the plucky way in which he stuck to his task, as efforts of thia kind are by no means easy of accomplishment. Io his particular case, the whole of the outlay in connection with tha experiment is falling upon his shoulders, and he is still some few hundreds short. A largo number of philanthropic gentlemen have come forward to assist, and one gentleman has generously handed Mr Cracknell a cheque for £lOO to help him through ths affair. -
