A Vision.
|TO THE EDtTOn, I Sir,—On reading your journal of Tqe*isy last, wherein than is a poem, the following lines suggested themselves to me < In my dream* the other night, When below the silvery wave, " I thought I saw a poet In a spiritualistic cave. He was courting of a mermaid With such a gorgeous tail; They were holding of a «Snc« In conjunction with a whale. I wandered then along the shore. When suddenly came in sight A smiling face with grizzly beard And a phosphorescent light. He said, " I re seen ths spirit* ” from); And they explained to me The why and where of a 1! their tricks.
