Nelson, last night. In the Supreme Court, in the action of Weir v. Horner and Craig, claiming £2013, for false imprisonment and malicious prosecution—which occupied three davg—concluded on Saturday. The defendants owned a mining claim at Charleston, and sand having been stdien from their tubs watch was set and Weir was seen lifting a tub to carry away. The defendants came out of ambush, handcuffed Weir, and took him to the Police Station, but the Resident Magistrate dismissed the case. The jury returned a verdict for the defendants, and the Judge awarded coats agapit the plajntiff on the highest scale, as though damages for £2lOO had been claimed*
