London, August 24. Mr Dawes has proposed to the Directors of the New Zealand Shipping Company to write £3 per share off its capital. The Porte desiring to secure the friend ship of the Khurds in event of war with Russia, has issued instructions to the Turkish Governors of Armenian districts to protect the Khurds from hostility which their inroads and outrages in Armenia provoked. German New Guinea has been created a Crown Colony of Germany. The Belgian Government have agreed to subsidise a German Australian Tine of steamers.
